Director of Community Care and Compliance/ Title IX Coordinator
Bryn Mawr College has an opening for Director of Community Care and Compliance/ Title IX Coordinator.
THE POSITION
The Director of Community Care and Compliance/ Title IX Coordinator, who will report to the Dean of Student Life, is responsible for supporting a diverse and vibrant community of students at Bryn Mawr College. They will work closely with the Dean of Student Life, Dean for Equity, Inclusion, and Community Life, Human Resources, and the Provost office in developing, reviewing, and implementing policy and procedure to support the College’s responsibilities for Title IX, Title VI and Bias Incidents. This position will play a critical role in managing the grievance process and case management of complaints involving community members impacted by Title IX, Title VI, and Bias Incidents. This role focuses on fostering a campus environment that promotes belonging, equity, and wellness for all students and employees. The role will implement policies, procedures, and educational programs that ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
â–ª Organize and manage a cohort of Deputy Title IX Coordinators.
â–ª Support the development and implementation of educational programming, training initiatives, and community engagement.
â–ª Promote faculty, student, and staff involvement in the work of Title IX, Title VI, and Bias incidents.
â–ª Oversee college-wide compliance with Title IX.
â–ª Provide oversight of investigations and adjudications of alleged Title IX prohibited conduct.
â–ª Collaborate with the Bi-College Associate Director of Investigations and Title IX Coordinator at Haverford College.
â–ª Maintain reliable data and records related to Title IX concerns utilizing Maxient software.
Education:
â–ª Bachelor's degree required.
▪ Master’s Degree in a related field or a JD from an accredited law school is preferred.
Experience:
â–ª Graduate training in law, higher education administration or other relevant discipline is required.
â–ª Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.
â–ª Experience conducting investigations alleging harassment and/or discrimination.
â–ª Knowledge of and experience with issues related to gender-based violence.
â–ª Higher education experience is strongly preferred.
