Dear faculty, staff, and students:
Bryn Mawr鈥檚 Commencement is a beautiful event that our small size allows us to celebrate in special ways. I am grateful to the many staff, faculty, and administrators who have been working incredibly hard (with much more work to come) to ensure that we will be able to share in a full celebration.
Due to our inability to host Commencement activities in the traditional location on Merion Green, Bryn Mawr College will relocate our upcoming ceremonies to Applebee Field next to Cambrian Row on the western end of campus. This change in location applies to the senior awards ceremony on May 16th, as well as the graduate degrees ceremony on May 17th, the undergraduate degrees ceremony on May 18th, and related ceremony rehearsals.
Commencement is a time-honored tradition, allowing graduates and their loved ones the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of earning a Bryn Mawr College degree. I believe that not observing these ceremonies would harm our campus community and the families and friends of graduates who are excitedly anticipating these events.
Graduates will receive a direct communication tomorrow with more details about relevant changes to our procedures, including new safety protocols. Faculty and staff participating in or volunteering at graduation will also be directly notified of changes. Additional details can be found on our .
Questions about this week鈥檚 events should be directed to the Conferences and Events office at roomres@brynmawr.edu.
Sincerely,
Kim Cassidy
President
