The below email was sent to the Bryn Mawr community on Oct. 10, 2024
Dear students, faculty, and staff,
We write to let you know we are aware of graffiti that defaced Brecon, Guild, Rockefeller, and Pembroke West overnight. Vandalism of this sort is inexcusable and is also against our community standards and posting policy. Campus Safety is investigating, and the incidents have been reported to Lower Merion Township Police Department.
We ask that the individual or individuals responsible come forward and take responsibility for the property damage their actions have caused.  We invite anyone with information about these incidents to contact Gerald Fayette, Associate Director of Bi-College Campus Safety gfayette@brynmawr.edu, or call him directly at 610-526-7911.
We want to acknowledge and thank members of Campus Safety for quickly responding and members of the Facilities Department for their continued efforts to clean each of these buildings.
The College is committed to creating an inclusive, safe environment for students, faculty, and staff, and supports the rights of all community members to express their views responsibly. Causing damage to our common spaces for any reason is incompatible with the spirit of mutual respect that is essential to our life on our campus and will not be tolerated.
Sincerely,
