In this pivotal 3-part workshop series, Wisdom of the Well: Empowering HEALTHY Leaders and Teams in the Social Sector, we embark on a transformative journey to redefine leadership and team dynamics within the social sector. Drawing inspiration from the African tradition of gathering at the well—a symbol of community, knowledge-sharing, and fluid adaptability—we offer a rich tapestry of well-being strategies tailored to diverse individual and collective cultural contexts.
This series is designed to address the unique challenges faced by social sector leaders. As stewards of change and care, these leaders often navigate complex, high-stress environments that can lead to burnout and a diminished team spirit. Our sessions are crafted to empower leaders with practical tools and insights, enabling them to manage their well-being and foster a supportive, thriving team environment.
Session Highlights:
- Empowering Self: Delve into personal well-being management, understanding burnout, and the importance of self-care as a leadership model. This session emphasizes creating personal resilience and setting an example for teams.
- Cultivating Team Resilience: Explore strategies for building a supportive team environment, embracing vulnerability, and fostering open, respectful communication. This session focuses on the collective well-being and creating a culture of mutual support and understanding.
- Sustaining a Healthy Work Culture: Learn to implement well-being practices within the workplace, leveraging peer networks, and regular wellness check-ins to maintain a vibrant work culture.
Throughout the series, we'll incorporate the HEALTHY model to guide our approach: Honor everyone's journey, Establish excellence as your norm, Advance your culture with innovation, Lead with vulnerability and joy, Thrive with efficiency and passion, Hear with the intention to act, and Yield to the awesomeness of YOU.
