Internships, Fellowships, Calls for Submissions

Undergraduate students who are interested in submitting their writing for publication or for presenting at a conference can find information here on Calls for Submissions that have been sent to the Department of Literatures in English. Questions regarding calls for submissions should be addressed to the publication or to Bryn Thompson at bthompson@brynmawr.edu.

Call for Papers: Intarsia: Undergraduate Journal of Queer and Feminist Inquiry

Have you recently produced a paper on gender, sex, or sexuality that you're proud of? Would you like your work to be published in an academic journal? Please consider submitting your writing to Intarsia: Undergraduate Journal of Queer and Feminist Inquiry!

Intarsia: Undergraduate Journal of Queer and Feminist Inquiry is a peer-reviewed, open-access, and student-led publication launching this year at Emory University. Intarsia is dedicated to the publication of original undergraduate work that explores queer and feminist theories of sex, sexuality, and gender in some capacity. Intarsia is sponsored by the Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship.

Intarsia accepts research papers, analyses, and essays. Submissions must engage with queer and/or feminist theories of sex, sexuality, and/or gender to be considered. Please read the 'Submissions' section on our website for complete instructions on how to submit your work. Please send your work and any additional questions to our email (intarsiajournal@gmail.com).
