Assistant Professor of Greek, Latin and Classical Studies

The Department of Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2025 in Latin literature, culture, and reception, with a focus on poetry. The successful candidate’s research may be on Latin poetry from any period, and they should also display expertise in classical reception studies in any medium, which might facilitate collaboration with other departments and programs at the college (e.g., Africana Studies, International Studies, Comparative Literature). We seek a candidate who will be able to teach Roman culture including core canonical texts and Latin at all levels. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of developing and teaching a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including graduate seminars, interdisciplinary programs and other college-wide initiatives such as the 360 Program and the first-year Emily Balch Seminars. Candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by the start date.
